One simple act of kindness can change someone’s world. Kindness can restore hope and dignity. We can show kindness in so many ways, from offering a sincere greeting to helping an older adult carry the groceries. We never know what another person is going through. Let’s take every opportunity to be kind to others as God has been kind to us.
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
Being kind and compassionate is a way to reflect the light and love of Christ to others. When we are kind to others, we also feel better about ourselves. Often, we ignore the significance of small acts of kindness; but they can change the world, one person at a time.
REFLECT ON ROMANS 5:8 (NIV): “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God loved us and died for us when we were wrong, when we were lying, gossiping, cheating, and worse. And we are called to bear God’s image so that others will come to know God and to experience God’s love and mercy. God sent Jesus to die for us regardless of whether we change or accept him. God loves us no matter what. Imagine what could happen if we would love others the same way.
